Is England Going to the Dogs?

In France, dogs are even allowed to sit on chairs in some restaurants. But the French are not alone in their love of dogs, as any dog-lover in England (or the U.S.) knows. We entered a couple of shops dedicated to dog lovers, with everything from squeaky toys and cute little coats to personalized bowls and plush dog bones. (But they didn't have the names of Zoe, Misha, Spud, or any of the other sweet pups that we know.)

What we hadn't seen before is pictured above--commercial frozen yogurt for dogs. What's more, next to our rental at Cadson Manor was Chartwell Dog Adventures and Wacky Woofers Dog Shop. It's no ordinary dog park. Chartwell advertises:

The Agility Paddock – An area to have fun in providing Hoopers, tunnels, flyball and obstacles.

The Enrichment Paddock – A large area for dogs to let off some steam, with enriching areas for them to dig, balance, sniff and tunnel.

The Splash Field  – A paddock to run and play in with the added bonus of shallow ponds and sprinklers to chase.

The  Adventure Field – For those dogs that are just big kids, with dug in trampolines to bounce around on, swing ball, play frame and tunnels.

Did you catch the last? They even have trampolines for the dogs! What a wowser for Bowser! Port Ludlow dog owners have wanted a dog park for years. If they opened Chartwell Dog Adventures in our home area, they'd clean up! (And I don't mean with just poo bags.)
